Outsourced sales and marketing
Silver Sword provides clients with sales and marketing support. Silver Sword clients retain the firm to expand the pool of consumers for their products and programs.
Portfolio Acquisition and Management
Silver Sword represents credit fund investors looking for the most attractive consolidation of value, taking advantage of the macro economic trends that have dislocated pricing and other metric values.
Investors in and sellers of loan portfolios use Silver Sword to access a broad range of integrated solutions designed to better manage assets and operations. The Silver Sword approach maintains focus on profitability:
- Providing decision-making information regarding assets and asset optimization
- Reducing portfolio and firm-wide risks
- Improving and streamlining operations
- Providing value-added outsourcing solutions for all aspects of portfolio management, analysis, monitoring, and due diligence.
New product development
There has been little innovation in the private student lending space since private student loans were first introduced. The student lending sector has contracted substantially since the first ripples of the credit crisis began spreading in August of 2007. Lenders that remain continue to offer the same products that have been offered for a number of years modified with more restrictive credit criteria.
Silver Sword has developed new private student loan products that more closely match consumer need and the current limitations in the credit market.
Development of Proprietary Student Loan Platforms
Silver Sword and our network of partners and vendors assist in the development of proprietary student loan products for banks and other lending institutions. The comprehensive approach includes delivery of platform that can be plugged in to an institution's infrastructure, including:
- Credit rules
- Underwriting
- Decisioning/Origination
- Processing
- Risk Management
- Customer Service
- Disbursement
- Servicing
Development of a student loan marketplace for educational institutions
Loan Marketplace
- Each institution would establish a marketplace for student loans (similar to the existing on-line mortgage marketplace models) available to prospects and students needing education finance solutions
- Marketplace is integrated into institutions' existing Financial Aid Office systems
- Each institution's marketplace includes a roster of national, regional and existing lenders
- Students are able to opt-in to survey various loan options
- Lenders, using available school data and credit information combined with school data, return offers to students opting in
- Students can choose from the various lender bids based on rates, terms and borrower benefits
- Basic Review of Process
- Student opts in to receive loan offers from School "Preferred Lending Partners"
- School transmits student data to "Preferred Lending Partners"
- Lenders select students that meet lending criteria and return offers to students
- Student selects offer and borrows directly from lender
- Lender disburses funds to student, either through school or directly to student
